Building Olney Men's Shed
Olney Men's Shed is a new community initiative being developed by a dedicated team of local volunteers to establish a branch of the UK Men's Sheds Association (UKMSA) movement in Olney.
A Men's Shed is a welcoming place where people can meet, share skills, work on projects, and enjoy friendship and community. Whether you're looking to learn something new, put existing skills to good use, or simply connect with others, a Men's Shed offers a supportive environment where everyone can feel at home.
Since coming together in late 2025, our founding team has been making great progress towards establishing Olney Men's Shed. We have secured premises in Olney, collected a growing range of donated tools and materials, and begun raising the funds needed to create a welcoming workshop and community space. Thanks to the support of local residents, businesses and organisations, we are on course to open our doors before the end of the year.

About Olney Men's Shed
Our Vision
We believe that everyone deserves to feel connected, valued, and part of a community. Our vision is to create a welcoming space where people can come together, share skills and experiences, enjoy practical activities, and build lasting friendships.
Olney Men's Shed will be more than just a workshop. It will be a place where people can meet for a chat, work on projects, learn from one another, and contribute to the local community. Whether someone is looking to stay active, make new connections, share their skills, or simply enjoy the company of others, they will find a warm welcome at the Shed.
Life can sometimes bring changes that leave people feeling isolated or disconnected, particularly following retirement, bereavement, ill health, or other major life events. By bringing people together through shared interests, purposeful activity, and mutual support, Olney Men's Shed aims to create a sense of belonging and friendship that benefits both individuals and the wider community.
As we begin this exciting journey, we are actively fundraising to support the development of the Shed and are seeking donations of tools, equipment, materials, and other resources that will help us bring the project to life.
We are also keen to hear from anyone who may be interested in becoming a member of Olney Men's Shed. Whether you have practical skills to share, would like to learn something new, or simply enjoy meeting new people and being part of a community, we would love to hear from you.
Together, we are building something that will benefit the people of Olney for many years to come, and we invite you to be part of the journey.
